“Yes, I know; your vet told you raw food is unsafe for your dog because of bacteria, and it’s better to keep it on kibbles because scientists have tested it.
While I can agree on some parts, my experiences showed me the opposite.
At the age of one and two, my pups fed on kibbles, and I had to visit my vet almost every month for different issues; I got tired of this. Having multiple dogs will get your wallet quickly empty. That’s when I decided to feed raw and cooked food, and these two alternatives gave me exceptional results.
I had to wait a whole year to get some results. After six months, issues started to decrease, muscles were getting slowly bigger, and their appetite increased. “I heard many old dogs have been fed on kibbles all their life, and they were very healthy,” and it’s ok, but in our case, kibbles were not working.
One of my dogs (Mooshie, now 16 years old) liked the taste of CaniSource “Grand Cru,” a dry food with an interesting shape that helps clean teeth. I have to admit the quality seems better than the others. So I still gave some for fun as a treat but not for mealtime. If you are scared of feeding only raw food, I would mix kibbles with raw food as long as there is something raw in the bowl.”
